For this week’s ‘Day in the life at motive8’ we caught up with Daniela Mohor, Motive8’s Gym and Spa Manager. Daniela leads a team responsible for the running of all on-site operations to ensure the highest resident satisfaction.
Daniela talked us through her role at motive8, how the people around her make her work enjoyable, and how motive8 have impacted her own life during her 5+ years with the company:
The importance of excellent customer service to promote a thriving community
My role involves leading a small team responsible for the running of the luxury residential leisure facility. I have overall responsibility for all on-site operations including health & safety, SOPs and EAPs, contractor management, financial management and site audits, along with the all-important resident satisfaction. An average day as Gym and Spa Manager consists of mainly providing excellent customer service to all residents and their guests, leading a small team of duty managers, and promoting a thriving community within the premises.
Being part of a wellness community is more than just fitness
Since the first day I joined the big motive8 family I never had a dull day, and this makes all the difference. Furthermore, meeting various personalities, being around a lot of residents and helping them throughout their fitness journey, all makes working times enjoyable and fun.
There are so many favourite moments since I joined motive8, however the one that is closest to my heart was when I got a card from a resident who had a very difficult moment when using one of the facilities. Thanking me for helping him he wrote: “Thank you, Daniela, for saving my life!”
Never stop learning
From improving my English language, up to running a Leisure Club on a daily basis, I have learned a lot since joining motive8. The team are familiar, friendly and open-minded, and most of all happy to help!
Working at motive8 has been life changing: I have the opportunity to practice everything I know, and to learn new things every day.
