At motive8, we are driven by a passion to foster wellbeing and prioritise mental health in all that we do. Our commitment to supporting our team members’ mental health is ingrained in our company culture.
Wellbeing Support Team
In 2021 we established our Wellbeing Support Team who are all equipped with the Mental Health First Aider Qualification. From this our Wellbeing Committee was formed with a cross section of employees from across the company.
This year, in alignment with Mental Health Awareness Week, National Walking Month, and the Moving More for Mental Health initiative, we are excited to announce our company-wide step challenge taking place from May 13th to 19th. With the company divided into 11 teams, each team’s goal is to achieve the highest step count for the week, fostering friendly competition while promoting physical activity for mental wellbeing.
Supporting our team
In addition to the step challenge, we actively encourage an open-door policy, urging managers to prioritise one-on-one time with their team members for general check-ins and catch-ups. These personal connections are invaluable in supporting mental health in the workplace.
To maintain motivation throughout the week, we will be regularly communicating the importance of exercise and movement for mental health via Planday, our staff software system. These communications will serve as reminders of the benefits of staying active and caring for one’s mental wellbeing.
Charity fundraising 2024
At motive8, we firmly believe that health and fitness contribute to overall wellbeing for everyone. As part of our commitment to giving back, we donate funds and expertise in health and fitness to charitable causes. This year, our focus is on supporting CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) and Move Against Cancer, with five of our team competing in the London to Brighton Bike Ride on 16th June to raise vital funds for CALM. A huge thank you to Core Health & Fitness who are very kindly sponsoring each team member on the ride.
